Bill Carman's art is a strange journey of texture, mystery and potential narrative. Using a word, a simple color palette, a moment or nostalgic theme as inspiration, Carman seeks a new discovery with each original work. About the Author
Bill Carman has worked as a designer, illustrator, and art director at universities, ad agencies, publishers, and large corporations. Since graduating with a BFA in visual communication/illustration and an MFA in painting he has always free-lanced and exhibited. Bill is currently a professor teaching illustration. He has been included in annuals like the Society of Illustrators NY, Spectrum, 3x3, American Illustration, and has even finagled some medals. Bill has had a decent client list and was proud to do a children's book with Random House in 2002. He never stops painting and drawing for exhibitions and commissions, and occasionally produces an illustration that lands a little off center.
