Chiyogami is traditional Japanese paper that has been printed with a variety of colorful patterns. The patterns vary with botanical, animal, geometric, and celestial themes. These patterns are not only related to Japanese life, manners, and customs, but some of them are also thought to bring good luck and act as talismans against evil. This unique book, combining beautiful chiyogami patterns and creative origami models, makes a wonderful gift.
