Jacob Deremer continues to work the land that has been in the family since his grandfather Isaac arrived in Mansfi eld Woodhouse in 1762. With the recent passing of not only his beloved grandfather but also his grandmother Mariah, Jacob has asked the Lord to guide him and give him the strength to successfully farm the land. America has gained her freedom from England and as a new nation, appears to be thriving. With the growth of a nation comes change, change that is not always welcomed. Now in 1804, will this change bring friend or foe? Will the peacefulness of our valley give way to city ideas? It remains to be seen.
